Mini Mojito at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 – British Charm on the French Riviera

From Carlton Cannes and Hôtel Martinez to Le Majestic and the Palais des Festivals, a very special little British Mini brought its own personality to the streets of Cannes.

A Little British Charm on the Croisette

Not everything that turns heads during the Cannes Yachting Festival is on the water.

During the 2026 festival, among the spectacular superyachts, luxury hotels and international visitors, a beautifully reimagined British classic was attracting plenty of attention along the famous Boulevard de la Croisette.

The Mini Mojito, created by British coachbuilders Crayford Automobiles, was being used by Denison Yachting as a distinctive VIP shuttle, transporting guests around Cannes during one of the most prestigious events in the international yachting calendar.

Finished in Beach Yellow, with its open-sided design and unmistakable Mini styling, this charming little car looked perfectly at home on the French Riviera.

From Carlton Cannes to the Palais des Festivals

One of the pleasures of photographing events in Cannes is the extraordinary variety of locations that form the backdrop to the city.

During the Cannes Yachting Festival, I had the opportunity to photograph the Mini Mojito against the backdrop of some of the city's most iconic landmarks, from the prestigious Carlton Cannes, Hôtel Martinez and JW Marriott Cannesalong the Croisette to Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic and the world-famous Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.

Each location brought a different character to the photographs.

Against the grand architecture of the Carlton and Martinez, the Mini's playful British styling created a wonderful contrast. Outside Le Majestic, it looked every inch the Riviera lifestyle accessory, while the festival signage surrounding the Palais des Festivals provided an unmistakable connection to the international yachting event.

Together, the photographs capture a little of what makes Cannes such an exceptional destination for luxury events: elegant hotels, international brands, Mediterranean sunshine and an atmosphere unlike anywhere else.

The Mini Mojito – A British Classic Reimagined

The Mini Mojito is the latest creation from Crayford Automobiles, a British coachbuilding company with a heritage stretching back to the 1960s.

Coach-built in Great Britain by skilled craftsmen and engineers, the Mojito combines the charm of the original classic Mini with practical modern upgrades.

Designed with coastal living in mind, it's ideally suited to relaxed journeys, marina life and leisurely drives along the Mediterranean.

Each vehicle can be individually specified according to the buyer's preferences, making the Mini Mojito as much a statement of personal style as a means of transport.

Its combination of craftsmanship, character and individuality makes it a natural fit for the French Riviera.

Denison Yachting – A Different Kind of VIP Experience

With hundreds of yachts on display and visitors arriving from around the world, the Cannes Yachting Festival is as much about hospitality and relationships as it is about the vessels themselves.

Denison Yachting added an imaginative touch to its presence at the 2026 festival by using the Mini Mojito to transport VIP guests between locations around Cannes.

Rather than a conventional courtesy car, the cheerful yellow Mini provided something memorable, reflecting the relaxed sophistication associated with life on the Riviera.

It's a reminder that the smallest details can often make the biggest impression at a luxury event.

Capturing the Character of Cannes

As a Cannes-based event photographer, I enjoy documenting the moments and details that help tell the wider story of an event.

The Mini Mojito was a perfect example.

Photographing it against the backdrop of Carlton Cannes, Hôtel Martinez, Le Majestic and the Palais des Festivals brought together several elements that make the French Riviera such a distinctive setting for international events.

British automotive heritage, luxury hospitality, beautiful architecture and the atmosphere of the Cannes Yachting Festival all came together in one photographic series.

And sometimes, amid the superyachts and spectacular surroundings, it's the little things that create the most memorable images.
